Memoire logo In 1986, Orest, a French company, expanded to the United States jewelry market. Orest decided to give a new name to this new presence, and called the venture Memoire. Memoire was one of the first companies to promote using extruded 18K gold and Platinum instead of the usual cast mountings and 14K gold. They remain one of the most coveted fine jewelry brands in North America today.
